Computes the annualized internal rate of return for cash flows on arbitrary calendar dates, using Excel's 365/actual day-count convention: XIRR solves sum(CF_i / (1+r)^((d_i - d_0)/365)) = 0 via Newton–Raphson with a bisection fallback.
Real investments rarely pay on a neat schedule — SIPs, ad-hoc deposits, partial withdrawals. XIRR annualizes the true return of irregularly dated money movement where plain IRR is not applicable.

Enter one cash flow per line in the format: YYYY-MM-DD, amount
Use negative amounts for money you invested and positive for money returned
Include the final valuation or redemption as a positive dated flow
Read the annualized XIRR percentage
2024-01-01, -1000 / 2025-01-01, 1100 → XIRR ≈ 9.97% (366-day year, Excel convention)2023-06-15, -5000 / 2024-01-31, 5500 → annualized return between those exact datesMonthly SIP installments plus a final lump-sum valuation → portfolio XIRRIs my data shared?
No, everything runs locally in your browser.
What day-count convention is used?
Excel's XIRR convention: 365 days per year with actual days between dates.
Why does the tool say no XIRR exists?
XIRR needs at least one negative and one positive dated flow.
Does the order of lines matter?
No; the earliest date is used as t=0 automatically.
How does this differ from IRR?
IRR assumes equal periods; XIRR uses the actual calendar dates of each flow.
